Cumberland Island Engagement Session

These two lovebirds treated me and my camera to an adventure! I’ve been wanting to explore Cumberland Island ever since I heard of it - a remote island with wild horses and preserved wildlife, ruins, and beautiful coastal scenery? It lived up to the hype! We saw horses, deer, dolphins, manatee, armadillo, and some other mysterious animal we never figured out. Can’t wait to go back! Now let me speak a little on the couple… such sweet, caring, and awesome ladies. We had an amazing time, and Krystena even went to the trouble of sneaking a vegan muffin with a birthday candle along to surprise me with halfway through the shoot!! We had an amazing time and I adore them - Sarah took us out for Mexican later too (food is def the way to my heart, ha!). I can’t wait for their wedding day! Here is a tiny preview of the photo collection we created together.

My Little Brother's Proposal | Columbia SC Engagement

Seeing as it’s National Siblings Day, I figured I’d post these photos I captured of my little brother proposing to his now-fiancé Maggie in January. Xander set up a scavenger hunt with help from some friends (pictured later once the surprise was sprung) - basically Maggie had to connect a series of lights and the last connection lit up the pavilion where Xander was waiting to ask a very important question… spoiler alert: she said yes.

By the way, good luck not tearing up as you look through these.

Fun, Colorful Downtown Decatur Engagement | Lauren and Emily | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

For Lauren and Emily’s engagement session, we wanted to get some family photos with their fur babies (who btw were SO cute it hurt), and then take photos in Decatur Square of them basking in the glow of being engaged and excited to be married later this year. It makes me job very easy and fun when I just get to hang out with and capture two beautiful, kind souls in love.

L&E, I cannot wait for your wedding day!

INSANE proposal at the Infinity Mirror Exhibit | High Museum of Art | Atlanta Photographers

Holy bleep, how do I even start this blog post?! Monica and I know each other from a few years ago when she interned with me. She’s such a sweet and genuine soul! Apparently she made it clear to Adam that when he proposed, he better have me there… LOL! So he contacted me a couple weeks ago with the NUTS idea to propose at this super exclusive, hard-to-get-into exhibit… to somehow sneak me in but I’d have to be close to them in order to go into the 20 second viewing room with them… and I couldn’t be recognized by her before this moment or else she would know something was up. Basically, Adam was sweating bullets and so was I. I’ve done crazy things to photograph proposals in my day, but this was probably the craziest. Because of how the Yayoi Kusama exhibition is set up with timed tickets, we would be in close proximity when we were all lining up to be let into the level with the art show. So I did what I had to do: sprayed my hair bright purple and wore a disguise of a baseball hat, ha!!! I felt like a spy… arriving early and waiting around in the queue area, watching for them to arrive. When they did, I was in full creeper mode. We got to the exhibit with no incident, and Monica’s best friend Nancy was also able to come last minute. I trailed them, waiting for the moment they’d go into room #1 where Adam was going to propose. At the LAST second, Nancy didn’t go in and I switched places with her. This is where the photos begin below. In the first picture, you can see Monica has seen me, and knows what’s happening when she turns around. Please join me in happy crying! Congrats Monica and Adam! ADAM, you’re man of the year for pulling this off! And PS, everyone needs a best friend like Nancy. Girlfriend is such a blast.

Gloomy/Rainy Day Engagement Photos | Miriam + Tomo | Piedmont Park Atlanta Photographers

Miriam and Tomo were easy to connect with, and a dream to photograph. I kind of loved the foggy, gloomy weather, and it gives the photos a softness and dreaminess I love. For this shoot, first we played in the park, then we recreated their first date at Babette’s Cafe in Little 5 Points. Here’s a little peek at their session.
